Daniel James has been a professional glamour photographer for over seven years. He is also an accomplished musician and music producer, as well as part owner in a market research company with locations in Seattle, Portland and Las Vegas. He splits his time between his residences / businesses in Portland and Las Vegas.

Daniel is Her Photographer. In 2003, he set out to develop a process of photographing everyday people which has become his trademark. This unique process takes virtually anyone and shows them the beauty they possess, emphasizing their self esteem and self confidence along the way. He has become famous for his gift of taking everyday people and transforming them into the amazing images that make him one of the most sought-after photographers anywhere.

BEGINNINGS: In 2003, Daniel was approached by an actress friend who needed photos for theater submittals, but who didn’t have any money. She knew Daniel had a decent camera and asked him if he would give it a shot. He did, and the next thing he knew, he was being asked by others to do the same for them. It didn’t take the world long to realize the gift Daniel had, and soon he found himself being approached by models wanting him to shoot more glamorous fashion industry type work.


But, along the way he discovered something: He enjoyed working with the regular, non-model types as much or more than the professional models who found their way in front of his camera. Perhaps it was because he is a regular person himself, or perhaps it was because those people so appreciated what he did for them. If you ask Daniel, he’ll say “I enjoy making people feel beautiful, and great about themselves. Everyday women seemed to need what I did, more than the model types.” Regardless of why, within the first two years he found himself focusing his work almost solely on his motto “Ordinary people / Extraordinary Photographs”.


To be able to accomplish great images with each and every person (regardless of any factor including modeling experience) who came in front of his camera, he developed his unique and proven process. This process has been used with hundreds of clients of every age, body type, sex, race, and background to produce incredible images each and every time while always promoting individualism and creativity with each shoot.


Pricing was also an issue, and from day One Daniel has always strived to maintain a price point which was affordable to the everyday public. It’s his viewpoint that every person should be able to feel great about themselves, and that the photography that he offered needed to be affordable and attainable to everyone. That approach continues today, and even though Daniel’s schedule and demands merit a strict calendar, other photographers trained by Daniel continue to ensure that everyone finds what they need with his company.

TODAY: Daniel’s popularity continues to explode as more and more people and businesses discover his work. His photography has graced the covers of many magazines, band promo shots, album covers, magazine articles, and the hearts, walls and portfolios of many satisfied customers. Renowned as an easy-going perfectionist and workaholic, Daniel continues to add to his list of incredible photography projects and highly appreciative customers.


Daniel’s methods and results attracted other photographers who wanted to learn and follow his practices, as well as hundreds of clients who wanted him to work his magic on them. Cambrae, an accomplished photographer in her own right, originally came to Daniel as a client wanting to be photographed. She saw the beauty in his ideals, and the potential for making what he did into something much bigger, and Daniel James Productions was formed. Now, she serves as his Assistant, 2nd Photographer, and business partner.


Two other photographers were added in 2008, along with a graphic artist, to satisfy the growing client needs and the demands of a booming business. Expansion into event photography, wedding photography, and other related areas has led to even more demand for DJP services. The secret to their success is that they follow a strict code of customer satisfaction in conjunction with the creativity and incredible image generation that is their trademark. They continue to focus on the everyday person, while also serving the other industries which prefer their services.

THE FUTURE: Daniel continues to be a highly sought-after glamour photographer, and the President and CEO of Daniel James Productions. The pending release of his highly anticipated “Table Series” works is in production, along with other photography related projects. Expansion of photography services in the Las Vegas market is also slated for 2010.
